Sadqa Ki Baharain Ma Afzal Sadqat

ungrateful. Those who are not given something are tested to show patience, rather than impatience. Therefore, by being patient and thankful in every circumstance, we should try to happily give Sadaqah whilst acting upon Shar’i rulings, and remain busy in accumulating a treasure of rewards for our Hereafter. In many places in the Holy Quran, we have been motivated to give Sadaqah. It is stated in verse 10 of Surah Al-Hadeed, part 27:

وَ مَا لَكُمْ اَلَّا تُنْفِقُوْا فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ وَ لِلّٰهِ مِیْرَاثُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-

And what is the matter with you that you do not spend in the way of Allah? Whereas, only Allah is the Inheritor (i.e. Owner) of all that is in the heavens and in the earth.

[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Qur’an)] (Part 27, Surah Al-Hadeed, Verse 10)

Elaborating on this part ‘only Allah is the Inheritor (i.e. Owner) of all that is in the heavens and in the earth’ Sadr-ul-Afaadil ‘Allamah Maulana Sayyid Mufti Muhammad Na’eemuddin Muradabadi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه has said: Eventually a person will perish, but his wealth will remain the possession of Allah Almighty and that person will not gain the reward of giving charity. If you spend in the path of Allah Almighty, you will attain great reward.[1]

Similarly, to encourage us to give Sadaqah, it has been stated in another verse:

لَنْ  تَنَالُوا  الْبِرَّ  حَتّٰى  تُنْفِقُوْا  مِمَّا  تُحِبُّوْنَ  ﱟ  وَ  مَا  تُنْفِقُوْا  مِنْ  شَیْءٍ  فَاِنَّ  اللّٰهَ  بِهٖ  عَلِیْمٌ(۹۲)

You shall never reach righteousness until you spend the thing you love in the way of Allah, and Allah is Aware of whatever you spend.

[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Qur’an)] (Part 7, Surah Aal-‘Imraan, Verse 92)
