Virtue of Salat upon the Prophet

The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

يَااَيُّهَا النَّاسُ  اِنَّ اَنْجَاكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ اَهْوَالِهَا وَ مَوَاطِنِهَا اَكْثَرُكُمْ عَلَىَّ صَلَاةً فِىْ دَارِالدُّنْيَا

O people! Indeed, the one who will gain quick salvation from the terrors and accountability of the Day of Judgement, will be the one amongst you who sent the most Salat upon me in the world.

صَلُّوْا عَلَی الْحَبیب!                                    صَلَّی اللہُ عَلٰی مُحَمَّد

The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, اَفْضَلُ الْعَمَلِ اَلنِّيَّۃُ الصَّادِقَۃُ a true intention is the best of an action. (Jami’ Sagheer, pp. 81, Hadees 1284)

O devotees of Rasool! Make a habit of making good intentions prior to every work, for a good intention enables a person to enter Jannah. Before listening to the Bayan, make good intentions as well. For example, make intention:

*   That I will listen to the complete Bayan in order to gain knowledge;

*   That I will sit with manners;

*   That I will refrain from laziness during the Bayan;

*   That I will listen to the Bayan for my reform; and

*   That whatever I will listen, I will strive to convey it to the others.

صَلُّوْا عَلَی الْحَبیب!                                  صَلَّی اللہُ عَلٰی مُحَمَّد
