Sayyiduna Siddeeq-e-Akbar رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ

The first man to embrace Islam

Imam Abu Hanifah رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ has reconciled these opinions by saying that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr embraced Islam first from amongst the men, the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidatuna Khadijah رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهَا was the first woman of Islam and Sayyiduna ‘Ali کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجْـھَـهُ الْـکَـرِیْم embraced Islam first among all the boys. (Tareekh-ul-Khulafa, p. 26)

Selfless sacrifice of wealth

At the occasion of Ghazwah-e-Tabook the Prophet of mankind, the Peace of our heart and mind, the Most Generous and Kind صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم ordered the wealthy Muslims of his Ummat to generously donate their wealth for Jihad for the sake of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ so that the food and conveyance could be arranged for the warriors of Islam. On that order of the Blessed and Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, the person who presented all of his wealth in the path of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ in the court of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was Sayyiduna Siddeeq-e-Akbar رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ. He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ piled up all of the wealth and his household at the feet of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

On seeing this selflessness of his companion, the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم asked, ‘Did you leave anything for your household?’ He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ replied respectfully, ‘I have left Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم for them.’ (i.e. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم are enough for me and my family).
