Giving Sadaqah in a state of well-being.

Giving Sadaqah despite having a desire for wealth.

Giving Sadaqah despite having fear of falling into financial difficulty.

These are all superior forms of Sadaqah.[1]

Likewise, a Muslims learning Islamic knowledge and then teaching it to his Islamic brother.[2]

Feeding a hungry person to his full stomach.[3]

Giving Sadaqah in Ramadan.[4]

Giving Sadaqah to relatives who bear hatred towards you.[5]

Reconciling between Muslims who are not on good terms.[6]

Freeing a jailed person through permissible means.

Preventing the shedding of blood.

Doing a favour for your Muslim brother,[7]

and speaking of good things.[8]

In light of blessed Ahadith, all of these actions are considered among the superior forms of Sadaqah. Some involve money and some do not, so one can attain the huge rewards associated with giving charity, without even spending a penny.
