Madinah al-Munawwarah. His family members and close friends pleaded with him: “Respected Shaykh! Your health is ailing. It’s even difficult for you to move around. If you go next year instead, it will still count as acting on the Prophet’s command.”

Observe Mawlānā Naqī ꜤAlī Khan’s رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه deep love for the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Though his health was poor and his body was weak — and in those days the journey was by sea, which would take many days — despite all of that, this true devotee of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied in a state of passionate love: “If I step out of the door with the intention of going to Madinah Ṭayyibah and my soul leaves my body at that very moment, so be it.”^[1]

Mawlānā Naqī ꜤAlī Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, along with his noble son Imam Aḥmad Razā Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه and a few other family members, set out for Hajj.

Imam Aḥmad Razā Khan  رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه later said, “The beloved Prophet        صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, appeared again in a dream and gave his true devotee, Mawlānā Naqī ꜤAlī Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه a bowl of medicine.

Because of the blessings of that medicine, his illness became lighter. He performed all the rituals of Hajj and Ziyārah with full energy, just like a healthy person. Then with full respect and deep love, he was also blessed with the visitation of Madinah Tayyibah.”^[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! This was the state of Mawlānā Naqī ꜤAlī Khan’s love for the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم!

When the noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم appeared in his dream and gave him the command to come to Madinah, he acted on it with such
