It is reported that Sayyidunā Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم came to the court of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم 24,000 times over a period of 23 years. Out of those, 10 years were visits to Madinah al-Munawwarah.^[1]

If we calculate an average, it means Sayyidunā Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم would visit around three times a day. That’s how the total becomes 24,000 visits in 23 years. However, sometimes he would come less than three times, sometimes not at all, and sometimes more than three times a day.

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه O devotees of the Prophet! This is our Madinah al-Munawwarah — the place where angels descend, the place where the leader of all angels, Sayyidunā Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, came again and again. So how could we, the humble servants of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم not long to visit there? Why wouldn’t we love Madinah?

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه! Madinah is the beloved city of Allah Almighty, the beloved city of the angels, the beloved city of our Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, the beloved city of the noble Companions, the saints, the scholars — in fact, the heart of every true devotee of the Prophet beats for Madinah.

Madinah is the city of love. Every true devotee of the Prophet, every true Muslim, loves Madinah deeply.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

The love of the Scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah for Madinah

Dear Islamic brothers! اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه! Madinah is a beloved city. It has been over 1400 years, and by the grace of Allah Almighty, the heart of every devotee of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم still yearns for Madinah.

The pious servants of Allah Almighty, the devotees of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and the respected scholars — how beautifully
