*   Making Du’a for entry into Paradise and protection from the punishment of Hell

*   Reciting the Quran

*   Understanding its meanings

*   Enlightening our hearts through its light

*   Making Du’a to Allah Almighty to receive the bounties of Paradise when hearing about them

*   Seeking refuge in Him when reading or hearing about the warnings of punishment in Hell

*   Performing those actions which Allah Almighty has commanded us to do and staying away from those which He has prohibited us from carrying out.

If only we are granted a portion from the fear of Allah Almighty that the righteous people possessed and their acts of worship.

اٰمِیْن بِجَاہِ النَّبِیِّ الْاَمِیْن صلَّی اللہ علیہ واٰلہٖ وسلَّم

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

The asceticism and piety of Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه

Dear Islamic brothers! We were hearing about the life of Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه. A very big aspect of his life is fear of Allah Almighty. Imam Ibn-e-Hajar Haytami رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه relates the following about Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه and his crying in the fear of Allah Almighty: At night, the sound of his crying out of the fear of Allah Almighty would be so loud that the neighbours would hear it and they would feel pity on his state. (Al-Khayraat-ul-Hisan, p. 50)
