Tazkira e Imam e Azam

Book Name:Tazkira e Imam e Azam

Quran in one Rak’at, in one night.

2.   Sayyiduna Asad Bin ‘Amr رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه said: Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه offered Fajr Salah with the Wudu of Isha Salah for 40 years. He completed the recitation of the Quran 7,000 times in the place that he passed away.

3.   Someone once made an objection against Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه in the presence of Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Mubarak رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه, so he said: Do you object against a person who offered all five prayers with a single Wudu for 45 years and would complete the entire Quran in a single Rak’at. He then said: Any knowledge that I have of Fiqh, I learnt it all from Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه.

4.   Imam Abu Yusuf رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states: Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه would complete the Quran in the day and night, and would complete the Quran 62 times during Ramadan until Eid arrived. (once in the day, once in the night, once during Taraweeh and once on Eid day)
(Al-Khayraat-ul-Hasan, p. 50)

5.   Sayyiduna Kharijah Bin Mus’ab رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states: Four pious predecessors completed the Quran in the Holy Ka’bah: (1) Ameer-ul-Mumineen Sayyiduna Usman-e-Ghani رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ (2) Sayyiduna Tameem Daari رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ (3) Sayyiduna Sa’eed Bin Jubayr رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ (4) Sayyiduna Imam-e-A’zam Abu Hanifah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه. (Manaqib-ul-Imam Al-A’zam Abi Hanifah-lil-Muwaffaq, vol. 1, p. 237)

Dear Islamic brothers! You just heard of the level of our Imam-e-A’zam’s worship, his recitation of the Quran and his fasting; he رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه had given his entire time to serving Islamic knowledge and worshipping Allah Almighty in some way or another. This can be gauged from the words of Sayyiduna Abul Ahwas رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه, who said: If Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه was told that he would pass away after three days, he could not increase his performance of good deeds because he did not have even a small amount of free time. (Al-Khayraat-ul-Hisan, p. 53)
