He further states: When he would offer Salah at night, the sound of his tears falling on the mat would sound like raindrops were falling; the signs of crying could be seen in his eyes and on his cheeks. (Al-Khayraat-ul-Hisan, p. 54)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! Besides being an embodiment of knowledge and practice, performing worship and someone who had fear of Allah Almighty, our Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه would protect himself from every kind of flaw and evil. Thus, when Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه was mentioned in the presence of Sayyiduna Isa Bin Yunus رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه, he made a Du’a for Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه and said: Imam-e-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه would strive to avoid disobeying Allah Almighty and stay away from those things which He has declared to be Haraam.
(Al-Khayraat-ul-Hisan, p. 54)

Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Mubarak رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه once said to Sayyiduna Sufyan Sawri رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه: Imam-e-A’zam Abu Hanifah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه would avoid backbiting to such an extent that I never heard him even backbiting an enemy. Sayyiduna Sufyan Sawri رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه said: By Allah Almighty! Abu Hanifah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه is very cautious in this matter; he does not allow anything to overcome his good deeds which will destroy them. (Al-Khayraat-ul-Hisan, p. 56)

Encouragement for Pious Deed number 38

Dear Islamic brothers! We learn that Imam-e-A’zam Abu Hanifah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه would go to great lengths to protect his tongue; if he found out that somebody was speaking bad about him, even then he would not say anything, rather, he would not say anything in his absence either. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ also gives us the mindset to save our tongues from backbiting and tale-telling, hence it is stated in his booklet, ’72 Pious Deeds’, in Pious Deed
