Sharm O Haya Kesy Kehty Hain

Book Name:Sharm O Haya Kesy Kehty Hain

arrived in this world to illuminate the world with his luminary teachings, he created such an environment with his modest gaze that the light of modesty began to shine all around. A pleasant environment of modesty was created in such a society that was far away from modesty. Where it was considered outrages to become modest, in the same environment, people like Sayyiduna Usman-e-Ghani رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ were born, about whom the Beloved Prophet of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم himself said: ‘تَسْتَحِیْ مِنْہُ الْمَلَائِکَۃُ’ meaning, even the angels of the skies observe modesty from Sayyiduna Usman رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ. (Muslim, p. 1004, Hadith 2401)

Lost my son, not my modesty

The son of Sayyidatuna Umm-e-Khallad رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا was martyred in a battle. She رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا left in search for information regarding her son, but even then, she رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا did not forget to wear the Niqab (face-veil) over her face. Having worn the Niqab, she رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا came in the court of the Messenger of Allah. Upon this, somebody said in amazement: ‘you are veiled even in such a circumstance?’ to which, Sayyidatuna Umm-e-Khallad رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا replied: ‘I may have lost my son, but I haven’t lost my modesty. I still possess it.’ (Abu-Dawood, vol. 3, p. 9, Hadith 2488, selected) This too was the result of the same modest environment (that was established by the virtue of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم).

The embodiment of modesty

Dear Islamic Brothers! We have learnt that Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم created a fantastic environment based on modesty among his followers. Today, we observe that modesty is being suppressed; those people who are shy, who naturally possess more modesty, are often mocked when they express their modesty. Someone will say, ‘Why are you shying like a girl?’ another will say, ‘he’s more shy than a girl’, someone will utter things such as, ‘he behaves like a girl’, others say, ‘Be a man! Don’t be a woman!’ and another will say, ‘he’s a girl’.
