Remaining etiquettes of intention
*Intention refers to the intent of the heart. Uttering it verbally while having intention in the heart is even better. (Bahar-e-Niyyat, p. 10)
*The purpose of intention is to distinguish an act of worship from an act of habit. (Bahar-e-Niyyat, p. 11)
*Verbal utterance of intention will not be valid if the heart is void of it. (Bahar-e-Niyyat, p. 10)
*In order to develop a habit of intentions, one will have to seriously develop his mindset over it while keeping its importance in view. (Sawab barhanay kay nuskhay, p. 3)
*Sayyiduna Nu’aim Bin Hammad رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states: ‘Our backs being lashed with whips is easier for us than making good intentions.’ (Tanbih-ul-Mughtarreen, p. 25)
*Sayyiduna Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ has stated: ‘A person receives such rewards upon a good intention which he does not receive upon a good action, as an intention does not contain ostentation.’ (Jahannam mayn lay janay walay a’maal, p. 152)
