Etiquettes of intention

Dear Islamic brothers, let us gain the honour of listening to some etiquettes of intention. Firstly, two prophetic sayings are presented:

   ۔1He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘اِنَّمَا الْاَعْمَالُ بِالنِّیَّات’ i.e. actions are dependent upon intentions. (Bukhari, vol. 1, p. 5, Hadith 1)

   ۔2He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘نِیَّۃُ الْمُؤْمِنِ خَیْرٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِہٖ’ i.e. the intention of a Muslim is better than his action. (Mu’jam Kabeer, vol. 6, p. 185, Hadith 5942)

*More than one intention can be made in every permissible action. (Bahar-e-Niyyat, p. 10)

*The more righteous intentions we make in a pious and permissible action, higher the reward we will attain.

*Meaning of a good intention in a pious action is that the heart should be focussed upon the action, and the action is being performed for the pleasure of Allah Almighty. (Bahar-e-Niyyat, p. 10)

Announcement

The remaining etiquettes of intention will be mentioned in the study circles. Therefore, make sure to attend the study circles to learn about them.
