to mobile phones; they close their eyes at the time of dawn and then wake up at 12 noon...!! If only our night routine could also be rectified and the states of our mornings could be reformed.

Repent before sleeping at night, pray two units (Rak’aat) of Salat al-Tawbah, and sleep after reciting some of the Holy Quran. It is the Sunnah of the Beloved Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  that before sleeping, he would recite the three Quls (i.e., Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq, and Surah al-Nas), blow on his hands, and then wipe them over his entire blessed body; he would perform this action three times.[1] *  Heصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  used to recite Surah al-Sajdah and Surah al-Mulk before sleeping at night.[2] *  A’la Hadrat رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states: The final act before sleeping at night should be the recitation of Surah al-Kafirun; by its blessing, اِنْ شَــآءَ اللہُ الْکَرِیْم! The end will be upon faith (Iman).[3] *  The author of Bahar-e-Shariat, Mufti Amjad Ali A’zami رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, describing the etiquette of sleeping, states: “A person should sleep on the right side with the right hand under the right cheek and, while sleeping, should remember sleeping in the grave...!!”[4]

اللہ اکبر! If only we could be blessed with these beautiful manners...!!

اٰمِیْنْ بِجَاہِ خاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ

Two Beautiful Morning States

A pious person states: “Two things are essential for the one who has attained the morning: (1) Peace (2) Fear. Peace in the fact that Allah Almighty, by His grace, will grant sustenance; and fear in the fact that, alas! Will I be able to fulfil the commands of Allah Almighty today or not...!!” He further states: “The servant who attains these two states is granted two blessings: (1)
