Indeed, Allah has appointed an angel at my grave and granted it the ability to hear the voices of all creation. So, whoever sends ṣalāt upon me until the Day of Judgement, it presents his name and his father’s name to me; “So-and-so, son of so-and-so, has sent ṣalāt upon you.”[1]

Speech Intentions

The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:  اَفْضَلُ الْعَمَلِ اَلنِّيَّۃُ الصَّادِقَۃُ – The best of deeds is a sincere intention.[2]

Dear Islamic brothers! Make it a habit to form good intentions before every action, as good intentions can lead one to Paradise. Before listening to the speech, we can make the following good intentions:

1. I will listen to the entire speech to gain Islamic knowledge.

2. I will sit in a respectful manner.

3. I will not be lazy or inattentive during the speech.

4. I will listen with the intention of self-improvement.

5. I will try to convey what I learn to others.
