Book Name:Khawājah Muin al-Din al-Chishti رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه
Can the right of a murshid ever be fulfilled?
Sayyidunā Quṭb al-Dīn Bakhtiyār Kākīرَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was asked, “How great is the right of a murshid over his murīd?” He replied: “Even if a disciple were to carry his murshid upon his head for his entire life on the journey of Hajj, he would still not have fulfilled the right.”[1]
Imam ꜤAbd al-Wahhāb al-ShaꜤrānīرَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه said:

Scholars have stated that becoming a murīd of a shaykh is a means of protecting one’s faith.
