Book Name:Musalman Ki Izzat Kijiye
O those who love Allah’s Messenger! We are Muslims, and Islam has taught us to safeguard the honour of other Muslims. We must respect others, and alongside this, we should defend their honour too.
For example, if someone is backbiting our Muslim brother, it is a must for us to stop them. If we cannot stop it, we should leave that place.
Similarly, if someone is mocking our Muslim brother, criticising him or publicising his shortcomings, we should protect his honour in a wisdom-filled manner, and earn great reward in the process.
The Companion Abū Dardāˈ رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ narrates, the final Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم explained, “Whoever protects the honour of his Muslim brother, Allah will protect him from Hell on the Day of Judgement.”[1]
The Prophetic manners of raising the respect of Muslims
O those who love Allah’s Messenger! To conclude, let us listen to some practices of Allah’s final Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, that guide and show us how to respect other Muslims.

* He showed love to whoever arrived. He never said or did anything that could lead to hatred arising.
* He kept the high rank of a person from a certain community in mind, and would establish them as leaders.
