Musalman Ki Izzat Kijiye

Book Name:Musalman Ki Izzat Kijiye

*   Some rich individuals take pictures of the poor whilst handing out charity, seeking fame for their supposed generosity. By doing this, they play with the self-respect and honour of the poor.

*   Poor relatives are sometimes insulted and humiliated at weddings.

*   With just a single click, prank videos are uploaded onto social media for thousands upon thousands of viewers to watch. This way, some poor souls are made fun out of in front of the whole world, and their honour is completely ignored.

A sin more severe than interest

The final Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم once inquired from his Companions عَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ, “Do you know what Allah ordains to be a greater sin than interest?” اللہُ وَرَسُوْلُہٗ اَعْلَم - “Allah and His Messenger know best”, they replied.

The final Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم then explained, “Certainly, in the sight of Allah, a graver sin than interest is to deem the honour of a Muslim to be halal.”[1]

Let us now move onto what the Quran says about this topic and try to implement the teachings we will listen to.
