Musalman Ki Izzat Kijiye

Book Name:Musalman Ki Izzat Kijiye

Whoever holds the reins of his Muslim brother’s horse (out of respect for him), neither out of greed nor fear (but solely to please Allah), غَفَرَ اللہُ لَہٗ  - Allah grants him forgiveness.[1]

In previous times, people used horses to travel. It was a display of respect to hold the reins of another person’s horse, so they may climb upon it easily. Similarly, when a horse rider would approach, people would move forward to hold the reins, so the rider could dismount with ease.

In our times, a similar action would be to move forward upon the arrival of a car to open its door. This action should not have any greed, hidden agenda, or fear behind it. For example, let’s say a businessman or nigran has just arrived in a car. We shouldn’t open their door thinking, “If I show him this respect, he’ll give me things in return.” Similarly, we shouldn’t open their door out of fear; “If I don’t do this, they may shout at me or be upset.”

So, without any hidden agenda or fear, if someone shows respect to their Muslim brother whilst solely seeking to please Allah, this will result in such a person being forgiven.

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه - May Allah grant us the ability to respect others!

اٰمِیْن بِجَاہِ خاتَمِ النَّبِیّیْن صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ

The honour of a Muslim is haram for another

The final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

کُلُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَی الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَامٌ دَمُہٗ وَمَالُہٗ وَعِرْضُہٗ

The blood, wealth and honour of every Muslim is haram upon another Muslim.[2]
