Musalman Ki Izzat Kijiye

Book Name:Musalman Ki Izzat Kijiye

Committing a sin in Dhu al-Ḥijjah, in particular on the day of ꜤArafah and that too inside the Ḥaram’s boundaries, is a major crime. This is due to it being a combination of 3 offences:  a sin, disrespect of a holy place, and dishonouring of a sacred day and month.

In the exact same way, spilling the blood of a Muslim, usurping their wealth and violating their honour are a collection of crimes. These are acts of oppression, which displease Allah and distress the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.[1] This is evidenced by the following hadith, مَنْ اٰذٰی مُسْلِمًا فَقَدْ اٰذٰنِی - “Whoever harms a Muslim, has indeed troubled me.”[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Examples of humiliating a Muslim

Dear Islamic brothers! Unfortunately, humiliating and infringing the honour of one another, is considered something very small in our society today.

*   People are openly ridiculed under the pretence of joking.

*   We tear each other’s self-respect to shreds.

*   We make fun of people who are financially struggling or not well off.

*   We think others around us are inferior and subject them to contemptuous treatment.

*   If someone only has daughters and no sons, we make fun of them.

*   Employers do not feel ashamed of belittling their employees and besmirching their honour in front of everyone.
