Ramazan Kesy Guzarain

Book Name:Ramazan Kesy Guzarain

established a Jama’at for the Fard of Isha in a home or hall instead of the Masjid, without a Shar’i reason, then they will be sinful for leaving a Wajib. (Read the detail ruling regarding this on pages 49-51 of the booklet, ‘Taraweeh kay Masa’il-o-Fazaail’)

*Only non-Baaligh individuals can pray Taraweeh behind a non-Baaligh Imam.

*The Taraweeh (in fact, any Salah, even Nafl) of a Baaligh individual is not valid if he prays behind a non-Baaligh individual.

*Reciting and listening to the entire Quran in Taraweeh is a communal Sunnat-e-Muakkadah, therefore, if a few people got together and completed the recitation of the Quran then it will suffice for the rest of the people in the locality. The summary of what has been stated on page 334 of volume 10 of Fatawa Razawiyyah is that: Completing the recitation of the Quran in Taraweeh is neither Fard nor Sunnat-e-Ayn (an individual Sunnah). The summary of what has been mentioned on page 335 is that: Completing the recitation of the Quran in Taraweeh is Sunnat-e-Kifayah (a communal Sunnah).

*If a Hafiz who does not fulfil the conditions cannot be found, or if it cannot be completed due to another reason, then any Surah can be recited in Taraweeh. If you wish, you can recite from ‘اَلَمْ تَرَ’ to ‘وَالنَّاس’ twice; it will be easier to remember the 20 Rak’at like this. (Fatawa Hindiyyah, vol. 1, p. 118)

*Reciting ‘بِسْمِ اﷲِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ’ once in an audible voice is Sunnah, and it is Mustahab to recite it in a low voice at the start of every Surah.

*The later jurists رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه have stated that it is Mustahab to recite Surah Ikhlaas three times upon the completion of Taraweeh. It is better to recite from ‘الٓمّٓ’ to ‘مُفْلِحُوْن’ in the last Rak’at on the day of the completion. (Bahar-e-Shari’at, vol. 1, pp. 694-695)
