‘When the month of Ramadan would arrive, the Messenger of Allahصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  would busy himself in worshipping Allah Almighty and would not come to his bed throughout the month.’ (Tafseer Durr-e-Mansoor, part 2, Surah Al-Baqarah, under the verse 185, vol. 1, p. 449)

She رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا further stated, ‘When the month of Ramadan would arrive, the complexion of the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would change, he would offer Salah in abundance, he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would make abundant Du’a whilst crying, and the fear of Allah Almighty would overwhelm him at all times.’ (Shu’ab-ul-Iman, vol. 3, p. 310, Hadith 3625)

Dear Islamic brothers! Undoubtedly, this conduct of our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم towards worship is a lesson for us. We should also adopt the habits of our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, because no doubt, the reward for good deeds is multiplied greatly in the month of Ramadan. Therefore, we should strive to amass as many virtues as we can in this month, because there is no better month to gather many good deeds in a short amount of time as this blessed month.

Sayyiduna Ibrahim Nakh’ee رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states, ‘Fasting for one day in the month of Ramadan is better than fasting for a thousand days, and saying سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه once in the month of Ramadan is better than saying سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه a thousand times on any other day, and offering one Rak’at in Ramadan is better than offering a thousand Rak’ats outside of Ramadan.’ (Tafseer Durr-e-Mansoor, part 2, Surah Al-Baqarah, under the verse 185, vol. 1, p. 454)

Dear Islamic brothers! We have just heard about the practice of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and the statement of Sayyiduna Ibrahim Nakh’ee رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه; in light of this, we learn that we should cry in the fear of Allah Almighty, we should fulfil our Fard as well as praying Nawafil in abundance, we should make Du’a to Allah Almighty for the betterment of our world and Hereafter, we should be particularly strict in observing the fasts of Ramadan, and we should also make abundant Zikr of سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه, اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه, لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ and اَسْتَغْفِـرُ اللہ. Let
