Book Name:Sharm O Haya Kesy Kehty Hain
Indeed, those who fear (Allah), whenever a temptation from the Devil touches them, they become alert; and at that very moment, their eyes open-up.
[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 09, Surah Al-A’raaf, Verse 201)
As soon as he recalled this verse, the fear of Allah Almighty overwhelmed his heart so much that he fell unconscious to the ground. When he did not return home for a long time, his elderly father came in search for him and arrived there, and took him home with the aid of some people.
When he regained consciousness, his father asked him regarding the entire incident. When the young man related the entire incident and reached that verse, he was once again overcome with the fear of Allah Almighty, whereupon, he screamed loudly and passed away. His bathing, shrouding and burial were carried out that very night.
When this news reached Sayyiduna Umar رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ in the morning, he رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ went to his father to give his condolences and said to him, ‘Why did you not inform us? (so that we could take part in this funeral also).’ He replied, ‘He passed away in the night (and we did not deem it appropriate to disturb your sleep).’ He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ said, ‘Take me to his grave.’ Thus, when they arrived there, he رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ recited this verse:
وَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ جَنَّتٰنِۚ(۴۶)
And for the one who fears standing in the Majestic Court of his Lord are two Paradises (i.e. Jannah 'Adn and Jannah Na'eem).
[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 27, Surah Al-Rahmaan, Verse 46)
Upon this, the young man replied from the grave and said, ‘O leader of the believers! Indeed, my Lord has granted me two Paradises.’ (Ibn-e-‘Asakir, vol. 45, p. 450; Zam-ul-Hawa, pp. 190-191)
