Book Name:Sharm O Haya Kesy Kehty Hain
Dear Islamic brothers! We can learn many things from this faith-refreshing account. For example, the first thing is that it was the habit of the righteous people of Allah Almighty that alongside knowing the necessary rulings of worship, they would perform worship in abundance and spend most of the time in the Masjid. We should also adopt this habit. Unfortunately, today we waste our time in many useless matters, in fact, some foolish individuals destroy their time and Hereafter by indulging in sinful activities, but they remain deprived of attending the Masjid.
There is a group of people today who waste hours on their phones using social media, but they do not have time to attend the Masjid, and the most distressing thing is that even those who are busy in various matters in the name of worship are not aware of the necessary conditions of those acts of worship nor do they attempt to learn them. For example, they will recite the Quran but without Tajweed (the correct articulation), they will offer Salah but will not learn the rulings of Salah.
O devotees of the Prophet! In the Quran, we have been encouraged to enliven the Masajid; hence, it is stated:
Only those uphold Masajid of Allah who believe in Allah, and the Last Day, and keep Salah established, and pay Zakah, and fear no one except Allah; it is therefore imminent that they would be amongst the people of guidance.
[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 10, Surah Al-Tawbah, Verse 18)
Let us listen to two sayings of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم regarding the virtues of loving the Masjid and visiting it:
۔1‘Whenever a person makes the Masjid his dwelling for Zikr and Salah, Allah Almighty becomes pleased with him just as people become happy when a lost person of theirs reappears.’ (Ibn-e-Majah, vol. 1, p. 438, Hadith 800)
۔2 ‘Whosoever loves the Masjid, Allah Almighty makes him His beloved.’ (Majma’-uz-Zawaid, vol. 2, p. 135, Hadith 2031)
