not a means of difficulty. The poor will be overjoyed in the Hereafter as they will not be questioned about monetary acts of worship such as Zakah, Fitrah, Hajj etc. because these acts are obligatory only for the Muslims who have wealth and are capable. When the wealthy are held accountable in the court of Allah Almighty for their wealth on the Day of Resurrection, the destitute Muslims will be entering Paradise by the grace and will of Allah Almighty. Hence the poor and destitute will enter Paradise before the rich.
Entry in to paradise 500 years prior
The Beloved and Blessed Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: یَدْخُلُ الْفُقَرَاءُ الْجَنَّۃَ قَبْلَ الْاَغْنِیَاءِ بِخَمْسِ مِائَۃِ عَامٍ نِصْفِ یَوْمٍ The destitute Muslims will enter Paradise half a day before the rich, and that (half a day) will be (equivalent to) 500 years.’ (Tirmizi, vol. 4, p. 158, Hadees 2361)
Dear Islamic Brothers! Two things have come to light from the Hadees narrated.
1. How fortunate are the poor Muslims that they will get such a great blessing like Paradise 500 years before the wealthy.
2. The more wealth one has, the more trials and severe reckoning he will have to face. Therefore, stop dreaming of the wealth of this unfaithful world, be content with what Allah Almighty has bestowed upon you, as this world has not been faithful to anyone before and will not be faithful to anyone in the future. But how regretful! Nowadays we are preoccupied with the thought of making this world prosperous while forgetting about the Hereafter.
* We have forgotten the severities of accountability and are busy in making our worldly life flourish
* We are worried about increasing business profits while forgetting about the horrors of the Day of Judgement.
* Forgetting the hardships of the grave, we are always searching for worldly comforts.
