Sunnahs and etiquettes of wearing a ring

*   Only the ring that resembles the ring of men, is permissible for a man to wear. I.e. it must only have one stone, and if it has more than one, it is impermissible for a man to wear, even it is of silver. (Rad-ul-Muhtar, vol. 9, p. 597)

*   It is impermissible to wear a ring without a stone, as that is not a ring but a trinket.

*   If any Islamic brother is wearing a metal bracelet or a metal trinket, an impermissible ring, or a metal chain, then he should remove it immediately, repent, and make a firm intention to not wear it again.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                             صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Du’a of protection from sadness and worry

In today’s Madani Halqah of Dawat-e-Islami’s weekly Ijtima’, we will memorise the Du’a of ‘protection from sadness and worry’. The Du’a is:

اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَعُوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحُزْنِ وَالْعَجْزِوَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِالرِّجَالِ

(Tirmizi, vol. 5, p. 294, Hadees 3495)

Translation: I seek your protection from sadness, grief, inability, laziness, stinginess, overpowering of debt and subjugation by the people. (Faizan-e-Du’a, p. 328)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
