The Sunnah and etiquette for clipping nails

Dear devotees of the Prophet, a few Sunnahs and etiquette for clipping the nails are presented from Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat’s دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ booklet 101 Madani Pearls:

*   It is preferable (Mustahab) to clip the nails on a Friday. However, if they are very long, then do not wait for Friday. (Durr-e-Mukhtar, vol. 9, p. 668)

*   Allamah Maulana Mufti Muhammad Amjad Ali A’zami رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states: ‘The following has been narrated: ‘Allah Almighty will grant protection from calamities until the following Friday and for an additional three days meaning 10 days to the one who clips his nails on a Friday.’ According to one narration, clipping the nails will result in the arrival of mercy and the removal of sins. 1. The Salat upon the Prophet for the night preceding Friday

اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ  وَ سَلِّمْ  وَبَارِكْ  عَلٰی  سَیِّدِنَا   مُحَمَّدٍ  النَّبِیِّ  الْاُمِّیِّ  الْحَبِیْبِ الْعَالِی  الْقَدْرِ الْعَظِیْمِ الْجَاہِ   وَ عَلٰی   اٰلِہٖ  وَ صَحْبِہٖ  وَ سَلِّمْ
