Surah Taha Ayat 97-98 Translation Tafseer

Para 16 - قَالَ اَلَمْ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

20.97-98

قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ فَاِنَّ لَكَ فِی الْحَیٰوةِ اَنْ تَقُوْلَ لَا مِسَاسَ۪-وَ اِنَّ لَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّنْ تُخْلَفَهٗۚ-وَ انْظُرْ اِلٰۤى اِلٰهِكَ الَّذِیْ ظَلْتَ عَلَیْهِ عَاكِفًاؕ-لَنُحَرِّقَنَّهٗ ثُمَّ لَنَنْسِفَنَّهٗ فِی الْیَمِّ نَسْفًا(97) اِنَّمَاۤ اِلٰهُكُمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِیْ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَؕ-وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ عِلْمًا(98)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

He (Mūsā) said, “Leave! Indeed, this is (punishment) for you in this life that you shall say, ‘Do not touch!’[1] and indeed there is a promised time for you which you will never go against. Look upon your god before whom you sat in retreat all day. We will most definitely burn it, then scatter its ashes into the sea.” Indeed, your God is Allah other than whom there is no God. His knowledge encompasses everything.

After this statement of Prophet Mūsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام, the state of Sāmirī became such that he would prevent people from touching him, and if someone would inadvertently touch him, both would be afflicted by a severe fever. From this, we learn that Allah Almighty has created such efficacy in the tongues of the prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـسَّـلَام that whatever they express with their blessed tongues is fulfilled.
