اَلۡـحَـمۡـدُ   لِـلّٰـہِ  رَبِّ  الۡـعٰـلَـمِیۡنَ   وَ  الـصَّـلٰـوۃُ   وَ  الـسَّـلَامُ  عَـلٰی   خَاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن

اَمَّـا  بَــعۡـدُ   فَـاَعُـوۡذُ   بِـا لـلّٰـہِ   مِـنَ   الـشَّـیۡـطٰنِ   الـرَّجِیۡمِؕ    بِـسۡمِ   الـلّٰـہِ   الـرَّحۡـمٰنِ   الـرَّحِـیۡمِؕ

Life Is Silently Slipping Away

وَعَلٰى اٰلِكَ وَاَصۡحٰبِكَ يَا حَبِيۡبَ اللّٰه                                                                                                                        اَلصَّلٰوةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيۡكَ يَا رَسُوۡلَ اللّٰه

وَعَلٰى اٰلِكَ وَاَصۡحٰبِكَ يَا نُوۡرَ اللّٰه                                                                                                                                    اَلصَّلٰوةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيۡكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللّٰه

نَوَيۡتُ سُنَّتَ الۡاِعۡتِكَافِ

Translation: I have made the intention for the Sunnah of iꜤtikāf.

The Excellence of Reciting Ṣalāt upon the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

Sayyidunā KaꜤb رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrated that:

Allah Almighty revealed to Prophet Mūsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام: “O Mūsā! Do you wish that I become closer to you than your speech is to your tongue, closer than your thoughts are to your heart, closer than your soul is to your body, and closer than the light of your sight is to your eyes?”

He answered: “Yes, O Most Generous Master!”

Allah Almighty then said:

فَاَکْثِرُوا الصَّلَاۃَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ

“O Mūsā! Then recite ṣalāt abundantly upon Muḥammad صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.”^[1]

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه! Dear Islamic brothers! Reflect for a moment upon this narration.
