months.^[1] He passed away on the 22^nd of Jumādā al-Ākhirah 13 AH,^[2] and now rests besides the Final Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  beneath the Green Dome in Medina.

Three Aḥādīth about Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ 

1.Sayyidunā Abū Bakr رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ will have the Prophets’ company in Paradise

Jābir b. ꜤAbdullāh رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ  narrates; the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “On the Day of Judgement, angels shall bring Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq forth and place him in Paradise alongside the Prophets and ṣiddīqīn.”^[3]

2.A warm welcome to Paradise

ꜤAbdullāh b. Abbās رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُما  reports that the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  said, “A certain man shall enter Paradise whilst all its inhabitants repeatedly exclaim, ‘Welcome! Welcome! Come here, come here!’”

Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīqرَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ  asked in amazement, “O Messenger of Allah! Will we also see this person?” The beloved Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  declared, “O Abū Bakr! That person in Paradise shall be you.”^[4]

3.Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq’s intercession on the Day of Judgement

Sayyidunā Jābir b. ꜤAbdullāh رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ  narrates:

One day, we were with the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم when he announced, “Soon, a person shall arrive who is the best of my Ummah after me. On the Day of Judgment, he shall intercede like the Prophets will.’’
