The Beloved Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  revealed, “Allah commanded the angel appointed over the rivers of Paradise to draw a stream from Jannat al-Firdaws and direct it into this cave, so Abū Bakr may drink from it.”

When Sayyidunā Abū Bakr رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ heard this amazing news, he asked in astonishment, “Is this is my rank with Allah?”

The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  declared: “Yes, and even more than this! I take an oath by He who sent me as a true Prophet! Whoever hates or is jealous of you shall never enter Paradise, even if he possesses good deeds equivalent to those of seventy Prophets.”^[1]

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه  Dear Islamic brothers! What a magnificent rank Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ holds.

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه  He is beloved to Allah Almighty and beloved to the Noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Such is his status with Allah Almighty, that when he feels thirst, the rivers of Paradise are directed toward the world for him.

Dear Islamic brothers! There is an important lesson for us in this inspiring event. What did our master, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم say? He said to Sayyidunā Abū Bakr رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ, “Whoever hates or is jealous of you shall never enter Paradise, even if he possesses good deeds equivalent to those of seventy Prophets.”

اللہ اکبر This is a severe warning, indeed. Nobody can ever possess good deeds equal to even one Prophet, let alone seventy. Nobody’s actions can compare to theirs. Leave aside sinners like us, even the righteous deeds of the greatest saints cannot match those of the noble Prophets عَـلَـيْهِمُ السَّلَام.

Consider the gravity of this matter - even if someone hypothetically performed deeds of that magnitude, but had hatred for Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, that single evil trait would outweigh all his good deeds, and he would not be allowed to enter Paradise. اَلْاَمَانُ وَالْحَفِیظ
