should make a schedule according to their circumstances and activities. However, here are a few beneficial pointers on how we can prepare for the Hereafter as much as possible alongside our worldly pursuits:

(1) Be Mindful of Congregational Prayer!

The first is to make it a routine to offer all five prayers in the masjid with the congregation! Prayer is the foremost obligation. The Imam of Ahl al-Sunnah, Imām Aḥmad Razā Khān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه says: “Prayer is the first SharīꜤah.”[1] That is, after the first revelation came to our beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, the first obligatory worship that was commanded was prayer.

In a blessed Hadith, the beloved Prophet of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, said: “Prayer is the pillar of the religion, so whoever abandons it has no religion.”[2]

May Allah Almighty protect us from the sin of missing prayer.

(2) Spend the Times of Prayer with Vigilance!

The second point regarding how to spend our days and nights is to spend the time it takes to pray with complete mindfulness and thorough planning! It takes about 15 to 20 minutes or half an hour from when we leave our home or shop for prayer until we return. These 15 to 20 minutes should be spent with complete planning.

Pray with complete vigilance. The 15 to 20 minutes or half an hour that we take out for prayer is also a part of our life. In fact, it is the most precious part of our life because at that time, we are presenting ourselves in the Merciful Court of Allah Almighty. Therefore, this time should be spent with full mindfulness. How should we spend it?
