Eminence of the faith of Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq

Book Name:Eminence of the faith of Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq

Brief introduction to Sayyiduna Abū Bakr al-iddīq

He is the successor of Allah’s Messenger and the first caliph of the Muslims. His name is Abdullah, his teknonym is Abū Bakr, and his titles are Ṣiddīq and Atīq.[1] He was from the tribe of Quraysh. Seven generations previously, his lineage meets with that of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. He was the first free man to accept Islam.

He participated in every battle, supported the Prophet’s decisions during times of war and peace, and fulfilled the rights of sacrifice. His reign as caliph lasted 2 years and 7 months.[2] Sayyiduna Abū Bakr رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ passed away on the 22nd of Jumādā al-Ukhrā and is buried next to the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم under the Green Dome.

Sayyiduna Abū Bakr al-iddīq was always a Muslim

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! Sayyiduna Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ was always a believer. Imam Aḥmad Razā Khān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه writes:

Sayyiduna Abū Bakr رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ and Sayyiduna ꜤAlī b. Abī Ṭālib رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ were Muslims in the realm of the souls, where everyone declared Allah was their true Lord. They were Muslims since then and through childhood; then from childhood to when Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم declared his prophethood, and from then to the passing of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم (and until they themselves passed away as Muslims).
