The Companion ꜤAbdullah bin ꜤAbbās رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا explained: “The words مَنْ اَنَابَ اِلَیَّۚ-  i.e., “the one who returns to Me,” refers to Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ.”^[1]

May Allah grant us the blessings of Sayyiduna Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ, and the ability to follow his example and adopt his traits.

آمِیْن بِجَاہِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖنَ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلیہ وَآلہٖ و َسَلَّم

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                      صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Faith is the first good deed

Dear Islamic brothers! Reciting لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ مُحَمَّدُ رَّسُوْلُ اللہ and accepting Islam is the first good deed someone can perform. Other virtues are only accessible after reciting this. The one who performs these actions will receive many virtues in the Hereafter, and they increase as one’s faith becomes stronger.

اَلْحَمْدُ للّٰہ From the time of the Companions until today, it has been the unanimous belief of those who love Allah’s Messenger, that the greatest human after the prophets is Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ.^[2] There are many reasons for this, one of which is because of his level of faith.

How did he reach this status, and how can we strengthen our faith through the blessings of the greatest Companion? These matters and more will be discussed today. May Allah grant us complete faith and the
