Book Name:Eminence of the faith of Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq
May Allah grant us strong faith for the sake of Sayyiduna Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ.
آمِیْن بِجَاہِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖنَ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلیہ وَآلہٖ و َسَلَّم
Dear Islamic brothers! This extraordinary level of faith is undoubtedly a blessing and gift from Allah. Yet, this world is dār al-asbāb (the place of means), which means his faith achieved this perfection through some visible means. Scholars of Islam say:
Sayyiduna Abū Bakr رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ would visit the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم every day and ask the same question; “O Messenger of Allah! What is faith?” The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would explain one level of faith, and Abū Bakr would act upon it.
He would come and ask the same question the next day. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would explain the next level of faith, and Abū Bakr again proceeded to act upon it.
Like this, he enquired about this every day and the rank of his faith continued to excel, until he reached its highest degree.[1]
سُبْحٰنَ اللہ Dear Islamic brothers! Look at the consistency, love, and passion of Sayyiduna Abū Bakr رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ. He would come and ask Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم what faith was, and that very day, would
