Book Name:Eminence of the faith of Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq

act upon the answer he received. He traversed that station of faith, and returned the next day to ask again. May Allah also grant us such passion!

Our state is completely different. We only think about our businesses, our expenditure, the difference in our salary compared to the previous year, and we even forecast our earnings and profit for the next five years. We evaluate our performance by creating graphs and consulting experts, but do we ever think about the condition of our faith?

We were born into Muslim households. Some of us are young, some middle-aged, and others are elderly. Our spiritual condition has remained the same since we became adults. Our love for the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has not increased, and we are unable to cry when we recite the Quran. Unfortunately, there is a large population of Muslims who cannot even read the Quran correctly. Fear of Allah does not enter our hearts when the verses of punishment are recited.

Our hearts were not inclined towards salah in the past, and twenty years later our condition is the same. If only we had concern for the greatest wealth we possess; our faith!

It is only with faith can we enter Paradise, enjoy its blessings, and be close to the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم therein! These honours are only attained through the blessings of faith, yet we have no concern for it. There are probably many of us who have never thought about the condition of our faith and the need to strengthen it. Maybe this is the first time some of us have heard of this.

This is also something we must do, for it is among the most important of actions. We are believers, and faith is our treasure. It is critically necessary for us to strengthen and protect it at all costs.
