صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! This account, taken from Faizan-e-Sunnat, teaches us that thinking positively about Muslims has many blessings. Good opinion (ḥusn-e-ẓann) is to think well about others. For example, so-and-so is pious, my Shaykh is a saint, my nigran is righteous, etc.
The Blessings of Positive Thinking
Dear Islamic brothers! The owner of the travel lodge had a good opinion about the group of thieves. He served them and considered their leftover food and water to be full of blessings, so he gave it to his disabled son. Through the blessings of positive thinking, Allah Almighty cured the owner’s son, and it also led to the thieves repenting and adopting a life of piety.
We ask Allah Almighty to grant us the ability to have good assumption of every Muslim, including our teachers, imams and superiors.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! As we are unaware of a person’s rank before Allah Almighty, it is essential that we value the leftovers of every Muslim. However, it is unfortunate that our society encourages the wastage of leftover food and drink, and مَعاذَ الـلّٰـه it is seen as something fashionable. Whether it is a celebration at home, a gathering at a masjid or a wedding, food is disrespected and wasted in large quantities.
