Madani Pearls”. Let us listen to them, but first here are two statements of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم:

1.   “When two Muslims meet each other, shake hands and ask about each other’s well-being, Allah Almighty sends 100 mercies upon them. 99 of these mercies are for the one who greets the other most cordially.”[1]

2.   “When two friends meet each other, shake hands and send ṣalāt upon the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, all their sins are forgiven before they separate.”[2]

*   When two Muslims meet each other, it is sunnah for them to greet with salām and use both hands whilst handshaking.

*   Give salām when separating, and you can shake hands too.

*   Send ṣalāt upon the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and recite this supplication when shaking hands: یَغفِرُ اللہُ لَنَا وَ لَکُم (Translation: May Allah Almighty forgive us and you).
