Book Name:Ala Hazrat Aik Peer e Kamil
In Mohallah Garhi, there was a person who people called Engineer Ṣāḥib. One day, he went out of town on a journey. He met people who informed him that a pious man lives on a mountain top in the area, and that this individual does not allow anyone to approach him. If anyone tries to climb up, rocks fall down from above, forcing one to return. When he heard this, he made a firm intention to meet the pious man no matter what.
Therefore, he headed towards the mountain. When he attempted to climb it, he found rocks began to tumble down. However, he was determined, so ignoring these rocks and with his gaze lowered, he continued to climb. His own testimony is, “As I continued to climb upwards, the clattering of rocks increased. Some rocks passed close by me as well. I did not relent in my determination and continued to climb. When I reached the mountain top, I saw a pious man with his head lowered. I stood near him in silence. After quite some time, he looked up at me. I gave salaam, he replied and said, ‘Why have you come to me? Your share is with Aḥmad Razā Khān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه in Bareilly.’”
When Engineer Ṣāḥib heard this, he immediately gave salaam again, descended, went to Imam Aḥmad Razā Khān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه in Bareilly and became his murid.[1]
