2. The noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, “The excellence of knowledge is greater than the excellence of worship, and the best deed of your religion is piety.”[1]
3. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ narrates that it was once asked, “O Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Who is the most honourable?” In reply, our beloved master صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “The one who is most righteous (who has the most piety) from amongst the people.”[2]
In the above-mentioned Hadith, the most honourable person of all was declared to be the person who has the most piety.
