stated, “Fulfil the obligatory acts (faraaid) ordained by Allah; you will be included amongst those who obey Him.”

“I desire to be cleansed and purified from sins when I meet Allah,” and in reply it was stated, “Perform ghusl to become cleansed from impurity, and you will meet Allah on the Day of Judgement with no sin.”

“I seek for light to be granted to me on the Day of Judgement,” and in reply it was stated, “Never oppress anyone; on the Day of Judgement, your journey toward the plains of Judgement (hashr) will take place in light.”

“I want Allah to be merciful to me,” and in reply it was stated, “Be merciful to yourself and to the creation of Allah, He will be merciful to you.”

“I desire for a reduction in my sins,” and in reply it was stated, “Seek forgiveness from Allah; your sins will be reduced.”

“I am looking to become honourable amongst people,” and in reply it was stated, “Do not complain about Allah to people; you will become honourable amongst people.”

“I desire for abundance in my sustenance,” and in reply it was stated, “Always maintain purity (taharah); your sustenance shall be made abundant.”

“I want to be loved by Allah and His Messenger,” and in reply it was stated, “Have love for those who Allah and His Messenger love, and dislike those who they dislike.”

“I wish to remain safe from the anger of Allah,” and in reply it was stated, “Do not be angry at anyone; you will remain safe from the anger of Allah.”

“I want my supplications (du’a) to be accepted,” and in reply it was stated, “Avoid Haram actions; your supplications shall be accepted.”

“On the Day of Judgement, I wish to avoid being humiliated openly,” and in reply it was stated, “Protect your private parts, so you are not
