Before death arrives and takes away from us the opportunity to repent, we should try our best to rectify ourselves for the sake of Allah Almighty, reconcile with Him and abandon friendship with Satan.
Remain affiliated with the religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami, in which you will be in the company of the prophetic devotees. اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه, you will become motivated to become pious, righteous, to repent and better your Hereafter.
Let us now listen to a few statements of the honourable Companions رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُم and pious predecessors رَحْمَۃُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَیْہِمْ اَجْمَعِیْن regarding piety.
Some narrations regarding piety
Sayyiduna A’mash رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه says, “Tongues cannot express the benefit to the one who has piety as his asset.”[1]
On one occasion, Sayyiduna Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ focused his attention towards a graveyard, and exclaimed:
O people of the grave! After you passed away, your wealth was distributed and your widows have become newly married. This is our state after you have passed away. Now I ask you, what has happened with you?
Sayyiduna Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ then turned towards those with him, and said, “O people! If they were permitted to speak, they would say, ‘Without doubt, the best provision is piety.’”[2]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Mentioning the method to attain piety, Imam Ghazali رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states:
