“I desire for Allah to hide my shortcomings,” and in reply it was stated, “Hide the shortcomings of your brothers, and Allah will hide yours.”

“What will erase my misdeeds?” And in reply it was stated, “Tears, humility in Salah (khushu’) and illnesses.”

“Which good deed is best, according to Allah?” And in reply it was stated, “Good character, humility, patience in testing times and contentment with destiny.”

“What is the greatest evil?” And in reply it was stated, “Evil character and miserliness.”

“What thing causes Allah to withhold His anger?” And it was stated in reply, “Giving sadaqah in secret and maintaining ties of kinship.”

“What extinguishes the fire of Hell?” And it was stated in reply, “Fasting extinguishes the fire of Hell.”[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

A deed that will take you to Paradise

4.   The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would frequently be asked by the people concerning a deed that would cause them to enter Paradise. He replied, “Having fear of Allah Almighty, and good character.”[2]

5.   The final Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

A dog is better than the one does not have at least one of these three qualities: 1. Such piety that causes him to avoid what Allah Almighty has
