The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: اَفْضَلُ الْعَمَلِ اَلنِّيَّۃُ الصَّادِقَۃُ A truthful intention is the best action.^[1] O devotees of the Prophet! Get into the habit of making good intentions before every action, because a good intention can be the cause of entering Paradise. Before listening to the Bayan, make good intentions. For example,

*   you will listen to the entire Bayan to gain the knowledge of Islam;

*   you will sit in a respectful manner;

*   you will refrain from laziness during the bayan;

*   you will listen to the bayan to reform yourself, and

*   whatever you hear and learn, you will attempt to pass onto others.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                            صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

100 Dinars and 2 fraudsters

Once two people came to a woman of Quraysh and deposited 100 dinars with her and said: If we both come together to get this deposit, return it to us. If anyone of us comes to you alone, do not return it to him at all. After a year one of them came and said to the woman: My companion has passed away; return me the deposit of 100 dinars. Refusing, the woman said: ‘You both laid down the condition that if you both come together, then your deposit should be returned to you and you also said that it should not be returned to any one of you if he comes alone. Therefore, I will not return it to you.’ That person insistently requested her family members, relatives and neighbours to compel her to return him his deposit. Finally, at their insistence, she returned 100 dinars to him. After a year the second person came and asked for his money. The woman said: Your companion came to me and said that you had died, so I have returned all the dinars to him.

Anyhow, first this case was brought to Sayyiduna ‘Umar b. Khaṭṭāb رَضِىَ اللهُ  عَـنْهُ, but at the request of the woman he رَضِىَ اللهُ  عَـنْهُ sent them to Sayyiduna ‘Ali al-Murtaḍā
