Book Name:Shair e Khuda Kay Roshan Faisly
Sayyiduna ‘Umar رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ appointed Maulā Ali رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ as his personal advisor and special judge. No doubt, this act of Amīr al-Mu’minīn, Sayyiduna ‘Umar al-Farooq رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ indicates upon his immense love and devotion towards the Ahl al-Bayt اَجْمَعِیْن عَنْهُم رَضِىَ اللهُ.
Hence, we too should make our hearts fortresses of true love and devotion for the Ahl al-Bayt, and adopt the company of those who possess true love for the beloved Prophet عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام, the noble Companions and the Ahlul Baytعَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ . اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه, in this era of tribulation, the environment of Dawat-e-Islami is a great blessing for us as it not only disseminates love of the Messenger, it also abundantly distributes the true love of the Companions, Ahl al-Bayt and the Awliya. We should not only associate ourselves with this Islamic environment, rather we should also pray that we attain steadfastness within it, and make efforts to bring others closer to it also.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers, the faith-enlightening accounts we have just heard regarding the luminous decisions made by Sayyiduna ‘Ali رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ, clearly demonstrate the greatness of his intellect and decision-making ability. Others would be incapable of making such decisions in such scenarios, but he would do so with great ease. This amazing decision-making ability was due to the blessed Du’as of our beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم for him.
Never faced difficulty in making a decision
Amīr al-Mu’minīn, Sayyiduna ‘Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ himself states that, “Once, the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم sent me to Yemen as a qāḍi, upon which I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم You are sending me to Yemen, its residents will come to me to have their cases resolved, whereas I am unaware of this (i.e. decision making).’ The beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘Come closer.’ I went closer, until he struck my chest with his hand and prayed for me as follows: ‘O Allah! Illuminate his heart and grant him potency in his tongue.’ (He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ goes on to further explain) By the One Who creates a large tree through a small seed, after this Du’a I never faced any doubt when making a decision between two parties.’”[1]
