Department of Ramadan I’tikaf

Dear Islamic brothers! اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه!  We are in the blessed month of Ramadan, which is showering its blessings upon us. From the many special events that take place within this blessed month, one of them is the Sunnah of I’tikaf. The ‘Itikaf of Ramadan is a beloved Sunnah of our noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه, in order to fulfil this beloved Sunnah, the Islamic environment of devotees of the Prophet, Dawat-e-Islami, arranges I’tikaf of the entire month of Ramadan, as well collective ‘Itikaf of the last 10 days, not only in Pakistan, but across numerous countries of the world. For the overseeing and management of this vast work, a department was established, known as the Department of Ramadan ‘Itikaf. This department ensures the entire month of ‘Itikaf is run according to schedule, which includes performing the five daily Salah, as well as the Nawafil of Tahajjud, Ishraq, Chasht, Awwabeen and Salat al-Taubah. Mu’takifeen are taught Islamic rulings concerning Wudu, Ghusl, Salah and other necessary rulings. Moreover, they will have the privilege to learn Sunnah acts, and memorise Du’as [supplications], and from time-to-time Sunnah inspired speeches are delivered by senior Muballigheen. At the time of Iftar, highly emotional and heartfelt Munajat and Du’as (invocations and supplications) are observed. The highlight is that Shaykh-e-Tareeqat, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـه, conducts Madani Muzakarahs in which Islamic brothers ask questions regarding different subjects; for example, ‘Aqaaid (beliefs), deeds, Shari’ah and Tareeqah, Fadaail and Manaqib (excellences and virtues), history, biographies [Seerah], medicine and ethics, Islamic knowledge, daily acts and many other topics.
