Na Mehram Se Meljol Ka Wabal

Book Name:Na Mehram Se Meljol Ka Wabal

narrates: ‘Looking at the beauty of a woman is a poison soaked arrow from the arrows of Satan. The one who did not safeguard his eyes from a non-Mahram, will have a needle of fire placed into his eyes on the Day of Judgement.’ (Bahr al Dumoo’, p. 171)

Dear Islamic brothers! Let us think about this for a moment. When we apply Kohl, sometimes our hands shake. If the stick used to apply Kohl gently touches our eyes, or the Kohl is slightly strong, we almost end up screaming in discomfort. When we cannot even withstand a stick used to apply Kohl in our eyes, then think! If Allah Almighty becomes displeased with us, due to constantly misusing our eyes, and always looking at Haraam and filthy things, and a needle of fire is placed into our eyes, what will we do then?

Unfortunately, people have become so used to unlawful gazing, that مَعَاذَ اللہ ثُمَّ مَعَاذَ اللہ, they do not find peace without looking at non-Mahram women. In order to fulfil their condemnable desires, they wander around marketplaces, shopping centres, parks; in short, anywhere they can find uncovered women. They wander here and there aimlessly, looking at unlawful things, and making preparations for their ruin in this world and the Hereafter.

Sayyiduna Imam Muhammad Ghazali رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه writes in Minhaj-ul-‘Aabideen, that it is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Isa عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم: ‘Save yourself from unlawful gazing, because this sows the seed of desire within your heart, then this desire leads the one who misuses his eyes to be afflicted by tribulations.’ (Minhaj al-‘Aabideen, p. 42)

Sign of a true believer

Dear Islamic brothers! We now come to know that misusing the eyes has huge implications in this world and the Hereafter. It leads to a person continuing to disobey Allah Almighty in new and more alarming ways. The person who looks at Haraam has Satan controlling his heart and mind, he will always remain restless, his desires and impure thoughts will always overpower him, and in order to please his Nafs,
