see. Through the use of the mobile phone and internet, our youngsters waste their educational potential, capability, time and money. Misuse of mobile phones have weakened our bodies, minds and intellects, and made us subject to a host of diseases.
A person’s body becoming ill or weak, however, is not as severe as him being afflicted with spiritual, or even mental illnesses. This is because, spiritual illnesses take a person towards bad characteristics, and mental illnesses leave a person without any peace or comfort. Both of them lead to a person’s bright future becoming ruined.
Mobile phones have a huge role in contributing to these sicknesses, with increases in cases of blood pressure and heart attacks, alongside people becoming more ill-tempered. Due to this increase in irritability and quickness to anger, many homes suffer from domestic problems, arguments between husband and wife, and the household system slowly falling apart around us.
Mobile phones are also becoming causes of car accidents. Despite strict road laws, people become so involved in speaking on the phone whilst driving, or listening to music, it leaves them completely oblivious to other drivers. Whilst paying attention to their mobile phone or loud music, they cannot hear the horns of other cars, and thus, fatal accidents take place.
Dear Islamic brothers! The way to save ourselves from the harms of misusing mobile phones is to only use a simple phone, when required. We can avoid pointless conversations and messages, or speaking with a non-Mahram, in this way. Normally, the wrongful relationship between a man and woman comes about due to improper gazing, meaning, looking at one another with lust. If the door of improper gazing is closed beforehand, then it shall remain easy for a person to safeguard himself from these vices.
