of the ignorant; rather, one should pour water gently from the top of the forehead so that it flows down to the chin.

*   If during Wudu, water falls from the face onto the arm, and one makes it flow over the arm, the Wudu will not be valid. As for Ghusl, the ruling is different; for example, wherever the water flows from the head to the toe will be purified; there is no need to use unused water.

*   If a person sat down to perform Wudu but was unable to complete it due to some obstacle, he will receive reward for the limbs he washed, even though the Wudu will not be valid.

*   If a person intends to only perform half a Wudu, he will not be rewarded for washing half of his limbs. Likewise, the one who sat to perform Wudu and left it incomplete without a valid reason, he is not worthy of being rewarded for his actions (for washing his limbs in the incomplete Wudu).

*   If so many raindrops fall on a person’s head that a fourth of the head became wet, then Masah (wiping of the head) will be valid, even if he did not touch his head nor intended to do so.

*   If dew drops over one’s uncovered head and a quarter of it becomes wet, wiping of the head will be valid.

*   It is Makruh to use such cold or hot water that cannot be poured over the body properly and not allow the Sunnah to be completed. And if it prevents a Fard from being fulfilled, then the Wudu will not even be valid.

*   It is Haraam to use water without a reason or to throw it away. (Those who throw away water that is left in the glass or jug after they or another person has drunk should repent and avoid it in the future).
