Khush Qismat Kon

Book Name:Khush Qismat Kon

Dear Islamic brothers! Two things are given great importance today one is family and the other is wealth. Ponder! Today, if a person is linked to a good family, he begins to show pride and arrogance. He wastes his entire life for the sake of amassing wealth; he faces many difficulties and calamities; he puts up with people’s criticism; he destroys the peace of his life; he bears the cold and the heat; and he puts his own future at risk for the sake of their future, but they will only remain with him until the grave.

The second is wealth; which man loves greatly. The wealth which he closely protects in the world, for which, he sacrifices his sleep at night; he forgets the distinction between Halal and Haraam when earning it; he deceives people in order to attain it; for which, he leaves his family and travels to distant lands; he thinks of many ways of earning it and community trust funds are set up. That wealth which will only remain with one until death; as soon as death arrives, all of the wealth, property etc., will be distributed by the wife, children, siblings and relatives amongst themselves.

Remember! It is not a bad thing for a person to give proper attention to the care and upbringing of his wife and children and to remain busy in fulfilling their rights, and to busy himself with earning a Halal income according to his need for himself, his children and all those whose upbringing is necessary upon him. However, not only is it a bad thing for a person to be so engrossed in the love of his children and family that he forgets His Lord Almighty or to become proud and boastful because of his children or to earn more money than he needs, but it also deprives a person from the blessings of the hereafter.

Hence, it is stated in Part 27, Surah al-Hadeed, Verse no. 20:

اِعْلَمُوْۤا اَنَّمَا الْحَیٰوةُ الدُّنْیَا لَعِبٌ وَّ لَهْوٌ وَّ زِیْنَةٌ وَّ تَفَاخُرٌۢ بَیْنَكُمْ وَ تَكَاثُرٌ فِی الْاَمْوَالِ وَ الْاَوْلَادِؕ-

You should know that the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement, and adornment, and your boasting amongst yourselves, and the desire to surpass each other in wealth and children.
