Khush Qismat Kon

Book Name:Khush Qismat Kon

A golden palace

It is written on page 252 of ‘Uyoon-ul-Hikayaat, vol. 2: Hafiz Mutahhar Sa’di رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه was very pious and righteous. He continuously shed tears for 60 years out of yearning to meet Allah Almighty. He رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه said: ‘One night, I saw myself in a dream at the bank of such a river in which a fine musk was flowing. Very expensive pearls were scattered on the both sides of the river. I then saw a palace made from gold bricks in which beautiful girls adorned in fine clothes and jewellery were mentioning the purity of Allah Almighty in a loud voice. When I heard their Tasbih (glorification), I asked: ‘Who are you?’

They replied in a beautiful voice: ‘We are one creation from the creation of Allah Almighty.’

I asked: ‘What do you do here?’

They replied: ‘Allah Almighty has created us for those people who worship at night and supplicate to their Lord whilst people are asleep.’

I said: ‘Who are those fortunate people whose eyes Allah Almighty will soothe by the means of you?’

They said: ‘Do you not know those people?’

I replied: ‘No.’

They said: ‘Indeed these are those people who recite the Holy Quran, offer Tahajjud Salah and fast during the day. Allah Almighty has created us for such fortunate worshippers.’ (Uyoon-ul-Hikayaat, vol. 2, p. 252, summarised)

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه How fortunate are those people who remember their Lord in the depths of the night and who alongside the obligatory fasts, also keep voluntary fasts with steadfastness. They offer Tahajjud Salah, recite the Holy Quran daily and wake up at night to worship.

Whereas, on the other hand, there are a number of heedless Muslims who stay awake till late night and sometimes they waste their time watching films and dramas, and at other times they talk pointlessly on social media all night whilst wasting their own time and the time of their friends as well. The majority of these people are those who neither have any concern about Salah
